FORTHEM Train the Trainer: Ethics in Research and in Horizon Europe

How can research support staff help researchers address ethical requirements from the earliest stages of project development?
What needs to be considered when preparing Horizon Europe proposals, and how can ethical issues be identified and managed throughout the research lifecycle?

This FORTHEM training workshop will introduce key principles of research ethics and examine how ethical requirements are addressed in Horizon Europe. The session will combine essential background knowledge with practical guidance for supporting researchers, preparing proposals and responding to ethics-related questions during project implementation.

The workshop will be led by Pilvi Hämeenaho, Senior Specialist in Research and Innovation Services at the University of Jyväskylä.

The session forms part of the FORTHEM Train-the-Trainers Programme and is therefore aimed primarily at research support staff and other colleagues who advise, train or assist researchers. Other interested members of the FORTHEM community are also welcome, subject to availability.
