Funding Opportunities for Early-Stage Researchers in Germany and Finland

What funding opportunities are available for early-stage researchers in Germany and Finland?
Which national programmes, mobility schemes and career development opportunities can support the next steps in an academic career?

Join this FORTHEM training workshop to learn more about the research funding landscapes in both countries and to gain practical insights into opportunities for doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers interested in international mobility and collaboration.

The session is open to PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and other early-stage researchers from across the FORTHEM Alliance.

Speakers:

Jarno Hietalahti is a Research Funding Advisor at the University of Jyväskylä's Research and Innovation Services, supporting researchers in securing competitive research funding while bringing an academic background in philosophy and research policy.

Johannes Beetz is a Research Funding Advisor for the Humanities and Social Sciences in the Research and Technology Transfer Office at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where he mainly supports researchers with national funding programmes and the development of research proposals.
