Successfully managing EU-Projects – Challenges and Strategies

Workshop Series: Professional Research Management in Multicultural Exchange

Wednesday 26.05.2021
9:15 - 13:15 CET

-- Registration is closed --

Online Workshop, hosted by Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz

Main target group
Researchers, research staff and students involved or interested in the management of EU-projects

In the workshop, our key note speakers Julia Doré (Head of Unit Research Services at JGU) and Sebastian Claus (European Liaison Office of the German Research Organizations - KOWI) will provide
fundamental information about project management in Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. In a panel discussion we will bring experts from the partners together to discuss how project management is organized at the different institutions, what the major challenges are, and what kind of internal and external support services researchers can rely on. The major aims are to identify best
practices, and to understand and overcome possible internal barriers for example for coordinating
joint activities, and thus prepare the fertile ground for successful future projects – joint and individual. The workshop will also show how diverse and most interesting project management in research projects can be for researchers, but also for research managers or administrators.
